KW Damper Animation Part 1
Below you can see the interactions between spring and valving, more specifically you’ll see the twin tube design with individual and separate rebound and compression valves. The next animation details more specifically how the individual adjustment of rebound and compression is relevant.
KW Damper Animation Part 2
Here you can see the specific rebound and compression control at both high and low damper speed. Again this is based on the KW twin tube design with individual and separate rebound and compression valves. You will notice that although the vehicle can maintain a firm and level cornering aspect (focus on low speed damper setting), the effect of the ripple strip is greatly reduced (focus on high speed damper settings). Of course there is more to the engineering, but you’ll be able to see the reasons why you can achieve a higher corner speed, whilst keeping the tyres on the ground and providing vehicle stability.
The priority is to advance your vehicles’ performance on road and on track.
This philosophy is inbuilt from the KW Variant 1 through to the Race ready KW Competition series.
